You heard me right, Nintendo is the sole reason the world is in such a terrible economic situation right now. Do you think it mere coincidence that that we entered a recession shortly after Nintendo released the best-selling home video game console of all time? The Wii introduced so many people to the world of gaming who became so engrossed in it and stopped buying other things.
Do you know what Nintendo's plan with the Wii was all along? It was to bring video-gaming to a much broader audience, and they succeeded. To be honest with you I don't know how they did it, but somehow they succeeded in getting people who aren't even interested in video games to buy the Wii. Their marketing scheme musta been some kinda genius because how the Wii sold so many consoles is one of the biggest mysteries of this generation. Seriously, they musta used the hypnotoad or something cause it really doesn't make sense. If you look at the stats, Nintendo console sales have been slowly decreasing since their first console came out, then allofasudden, the Wii sells like hotcakes to a bunch of consumer monsters ready to throw all of their dollars at the thing.
I suppose what it all comes down to is a bunch of parents who don't mind spoiling their kids, Shigeru Miyamoto being a fucking genius, and alsALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD!
